Not every camera has a public stream
Public live viewing is intended where appropriate but is not automatically enabled. Each stream requires a camera-specific DPIA, a separate live-view privacy assessment and express DPO approval.
Privacy and access
Where approved, viewing is ordinarily free and open without an account. Proportionate restrictions may be applied, including viewing windows, registration, passwords or reduced resolution.
Technical separation
Public streams are view-only and separated from camera administration and recordings. Public viewers cannot control camera positioning or retrieve stored footage.
Availability and concerns
Streams may be restricted or suspended for privacy, security or technical reasons. Continuous availability is not guaranteed. Report concerns to data.protection@datahandling.uscn.org.uk.
